FLYWEIGHT:Akimos Annan Ampiah had two fights. He knocked out Tanzanians Siad Hofu in the first round of his first fight and lost to Algeria’s Flissi Mohammed in the quarter finals.
BANTAMWEIGHT: Omar Abdul Whad had two fights. He won his bout against Equatorial Guinea and lost to Tunisian’s Mhamdi billel on a controversial 3-0 point decision in the quarter finals
LIGHT FLYWEIGHT: Jessie Lartey had one fight. He lost to Mauritius Colin John in the preliminaries
LIGHTWELTER: Azumah Mohammed had two fights. He won his fight bout over Equatorial Guinea 3-0 and lost controversially 3-0 to Elsam Mohamed from Egypt in the quarter finals.
WELTERWEIGHT: Musah Ramah Lawson had two fight, won one against Rosalba Jean LUC from Equatorial Guinea and lost to Ugandan Bukenya Nasser with a little cut in his previous fight the referee stop the fight in favour of Ugandan eventhough Musah was clearly leading in the round.
MIDDLEWEIGHT: Anane Kutsoke had one fight and lost to Traore Daouda. Anane had a cut in the first round due to a head butt but he managed to finish the fight. There were some issue with his boxing shoes; he did not get his boxing shoes for the fight so he had to wear his training shoes which were slippery.
HEAVYWEIGHT: Bawa David Akankolim had three fights. He won his first two fights by TKO against Kenfack Claude and Abdullah Sam from Cameroon and Egypt respectively. However, he lost to Mauritius Kennedy Saint Pierres in the semi-finals.
FLYWEIGHT: Ramatu Quaye had one fight and lost to a more experienced and well conditioned boxer from Algeria named Boucherie Souhila by TKO.
LIGHT WEIGHT: Abigail Quartey also had one fight. She lost to Algeria’s Mekhaled Iham by three points to nothing
