Club Coaching Experience:
Addo started his coaching career in England as a school coach in 1974 after his secondary and college education in the European country.
He has coached all the top teams in Ghana including Hearts, Kotoko, Olympics, Hasaacas, Goldfields, Ghapoha and won the league titles with some of them. His coaching abroad was in neighbouring Togo where he coached Maranatha Fiokpo in the Togolese top-flight.
International Coaching Experience:
He is currently in charge of Ghana’s home-based national team.
Addo made history in 2009/2010 season when he took league debutantes Aduana Stars to the league title at the first attempt.
Addo is keen on the natural Ghanaian 4-4-2 formation and has been noted for building solid defence for the clubs he has coached. He is known to be very strict with discipline on his players.
He is not known to have played at the highest level. Disappointments in coaching career: He is not known for thriving well under pressure that’s why he had short stints with giants Kotoko and Hearts even though he impressed.
