Exciting Cal Bank Beach Soccer League Is Back

The long awaited resumption of the Ghana Beach Soccer League bounced back l with more exciting thrills as Keta Sunset Sports opened their second round account with a ‘nine-star’ performance thrashing neighbours  Tegbi Youth nine goals to one.

Tegbi Youth started the game the brightest as they bossed play and scored first through striker Pascal Azalatey. Sunset looked like they were suffering from the long break as they found it difficult to break through the Youth build-up in the first period. Sunset quickly equalised in the second period through Gilbert Kumedzro. That goal seemed to have sparked life into the Sunset team and the floodgate of goals rushed in.Tibo Agbese, Senyo Awutey and Kumedrzro all scored in the second period for Sunset. A brace for Ambrose Etsey, a goal each for Fabio Azaletey, Michael Sema and hat-trick hero Gilbert Kumedzro sealed the 9-1 hammering.

In the other game of the day, Layoca lost narrowly to Ada Assurance 2-3. Just like the earlier game Layoca pulled the first shot in the first period. Isaac Ofori had the simplest of tasks when he tapped the ball into an empty net after the Assurance goalkeeper spilled an earlier shot.
Ada Assurance responded in the first minute of the second period through Joseph Larweh. He doubled his tally some few minutes later after dribbling his way past three defenders and releasing a thunderous shot which flew straight into the net.Tottimeh Tetteh scored the third goal for Assurance after his long drive was deflected into the Layoca net. Issac Ofori managed to pull one back for the La side but was not enough to prevent them from losing.
Wuo Gbee hosted East Legon Sharks in the final game of Match Day 12. Wuo Gbee needed a late goal from Razak Odametey to beat Legon Sharks 4-3. Leading goal scorer Richard Osa put the La side ahead after a solo effort. Sharks’ Ishmael Adjetey levelled the scores immediately after a brilliant build-up play.
Samuel Adjei scored a quick brace in the second period to make the scores 3-1 in favour of Wuo Gbee. The La side became complacent after the two goal advantage and allowed the Legon side to equalise through Ishmael Adjetey who completed his hat-trick with a deflected effort. The La side however, had the last laugh as Razak Odametey become the hero of the day with the winner for Wuo Gbee with virtually the last kick of the game.
