Beach Soccer Appeals for More Support

The Ghana Beach Soccer Association is appealing to corporate institutions to assist the Association in its programmes and Activities. Speaking at a brief press conference, the President of the Association, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah noted that though they are benefiting from some sponsorship from Cal Bank, it is not enough to cater for all their activities.

‘Since 2001, Cal bank has increased their package annually to $20,000 IN 2015, but it is still not enough to finance their  activities making it even impossible for us to raise a National Team. The team has been to morocco and Tunisia this year but we are yet to go to South Africa because of financial constraints. He said

The president also noted that his office is working tirelessly to ensure that the discipline is put at a position where it will be more attractive to sponsors.
On his part, the Deputy Director General, Administration of the National Sports Authority, Mr Musah Abdulai applauded the efforts of the Association since its inauguration in keeping the discipline alive adding that the NSA is committed in promoting all sports and will support it to its highest level.

The briefing was also used to present honours to the players of the National Team.
