The Workshop which is being organized for Top AIBA Coaches is meant to train and certify coaching instructors in all three AIBA Programs, namely: AIBA Olympic Boxing (AOB), World Series Boxing (WSB) and AIBA Professional Boxing (APB) for further education of coaches around the World.
A statement from the Secretary General of the Association noted that the invitation comes at an opportune time since one of the major goals of the Ghana Amateur Boxing Federation’s this year include developing its Technical Handlers (both club and national level) and Officiating Officials. With AIBA’s revolutionary Professional Boxing program (APB) set to be launched toward the end of 2013, there is the urgent need of qualified coaches to train APB Boxers
The statement added that Coach Asare’s participation will prove very crucial to the Federation’s Objectives, as on return, he will be tasked to train and certify local Ghanaian Coaches at different levels (1star, 2 Star and 3 Star) for the three (3) AIBA Programs. The Federation registers its gratitude to the National Sports Authority for supporting its participation in the Workshop.
