ACCC-Ghana Impresses At Individual Time Trial

Ghana  made an impressive start in the ongoing Africa Cycling Continental Championships(ACCC) individual time trials held in Burkina Faso.The Championship which featured 44 cyclists from 22 countries saw Samuel Anim placing 13th out of 44 cyclists.

 

 

A statement  from Dennis kweku moore of the Ghana Cycling federation noted that the race registered a circuit distance of 31.8km with an average speed of 48.68km/hr.

 

 

The road race will continue on Sunday   at the Charles de Gaulle arena  with six cyclists namely Samuel Anim,Henry Djangmah,William Nartey,Isaac Sackey,Aminu Mohammed and Victor Cudjoe Akpabli paddling for Ghana.

 

The statement further noted that,in the Team Time Trial on monday Ghana again showed a good outing with a 13th position with three cyclists-Samuel Anim,Henry Djangmah and Aminu Mohammed clearing their lines in 59mins 19 secs.

 

 

The road race will attract 132 cyclists from 22 African countries including Eritrea,Algeria,Morrocco,Egypt,South Africa, Namibia, Burkina Faso, Seychelles and Cote di voire
