Ghana Rugby Association Welcomes Master Nii Lartey Laryea

Ghana Rugby Association on Tuesday welcomed Master Nii Lartey Laryea a former student of Whitgift School in the United Kingdom to Ghana ahead of a rugby Clinic and tournament day to be held Wednesday July 18th 2012 at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in Cape Coast.

 

 

While in the country, Master Laryea and the coaches and technical team of the Central and Western Regions will organize a day’s Rugby Clinic and Tournament day for all rugby playing schools.

 


 He is also expected to visit historic sites and some of the clubs in the Region on Thursday 19th July 2012 after which he will make his way to the Greater Accra Region to hold a day’s training with Kanda Cluster of Schools, coached by Ms. Rafatu Inusah on Friday 20th July 2012 before departing the country.

 


Participating Schools and teams will include Adisadel College, Mfantsipim School, Wesley Girls, University Practice Senior High Boys and Girls,Cape Tech Boy and Girls, Christ Church Boys and Girls, Morning Star and Jubilee School.

 


The rest are St. Monica’s, St. Nicholas, Christ the King, Takoradi Tech Institute, St. Lawrence School, Abura Bombers , Oguaman Ocean Warriors ,Asuachyre Undertakers, Manford Lions and Kotokraba All Stars

 

A statement from the association noted that the program is expected to be a big boost for rugby in the Central and Western Regions of the Country and Ghana Rugby Association therefore takes great pride in this development as we seek to spread the game across the length and breath of Ghana.
