Rugby Association holds Clinic

The Ghana Rugby Association in collaboration with the John Fisher School of the United Kingdom has held a one –day coaching clinic and Rugby Fun Day for pupils of the Ayawaso East Sub Metropolitan Area of the Greater Accra Region.



Participating schools include Kotobabi 13,Kotobabi 4, Kotobabi 15,Abavana JHS, Queens Model JHS, Ayenbeng Primary, Kada Wilberforce Primary, Wilberforce JHS and  Unity JHS.


The occasion saw the presentation of rugby equipments worth GH¢ 5,000 by The John Fisher School and a giant trophy named after the president of Ghana Rugby Association; Gifty E. Annan-Myers. The trophy will be competed for in an annual competition sponsored by the president of the Association.


The maiden edition of the competition which took place after the coaching clinic saw all participating schools compete in both the male and female divisions. Unity JHS was crowned winners in the maiden edition of this tournament in the male division, whilst Wilberforce JHS emerged champions in the female division.


A statement from the Association expressed its appreciation to Metro TV and Mr. Amuzuloh Salim; the Greater Accra Regional Coach.
