Kids Golf Clinic on March 11th

With the aim of making golf a viable and attractive sport in Ghana, the Ghana Golf Association (GGA) and Junior Golf Ghana, (JGG) with the support of the world governing body, R&A of St. Andrews, Scotland and the European PGA will organize a golf clinic in the country.

The clinic will be hosted at Achimota Golf Club (AGC) from March 11-18, 2012. The program will be under the tutelage of a renowned golf consultant, Gary Alliss.Gary Alliss also known as "the King of the Swing" owns the PGA master Professional Ladbrook Park golf club and also won the PGA Cup Captain in 2007 and 2009.



He is also the Slovak Republic national golf coach, R&A Golf development consultant in 2012 and also a national club golfer swing analyst and a member of the PGA rules panel.



According to the President of the GGA, Dr. Felix Frimpong, since golf had become an Olympic sport, his outfit will seek to work with the best junior golfers in the ages between 7 to 13 and 13 to 18 years.



It will also further educate golf professionals, who are involved in the teaching of golf program of the GGA.



The clinic will   also enhance the teaching methods of local professional golfers to international standards and also to analyse the outcome of the last four years and to fine-tune the focus for the future.
