GTTA & Stanbic Organises Training Programme for Kids

The Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) in partnership with Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited is poised to generate the interest of kids in table tennis this vacation.

The two have designed a training programme dubbed ‘vacation table tennis clinic’ to engage children between the ages of 6-16 this vacation starting August 13 from 8am to 2pm every Saturday at the D.G Hathiramani Sports Hall at the Accra Sports Stadium.

According to the President of the Association, Mr. Mawuko Afadzinu who disclosed this at the launch of the Clinic, the purpose of the initiative is to unearth talents to secure the future of the sport in the country.

He also urged parents to register their kids to participate in the table tennis clinic which will also be sponsored by Coca Cola Ghana Limited among other Corporate Bodies.

The Director General of the National Sports Authority, Mr Wolanyo Agra lauded the idea by the Ghana Table Tennis Association, and Stanbic Bank for supporting an initiative that will engage children this vacation. He believes it’s an opportunity to keep them off the streets this vacation and also urged parents to enroll their children.
