Kick Boxing Association Inaugurates New Executives

The Greater Accra Kickboxing Association in its bid to revive and whip up interest in Kickboxing in Ghana has inaugurated new executives at a short ceremony in Accra.


The inauguration forms part of efforts by the Regional Sports Directorate to rebrand the sport and make it more attractive for Ghanaians.


Inaugurating the executives, the Chief Sports Development Officer of the National Sports Council, Mr Erasmus Adorkor noted that he was impressed with the efforts of the regional council and urged all other regional Association to do same.


He tasked the newly inaugurated executives to work hard in reshaping kickboxing as a major sport in the country because of it great potential of winning laurels for the country.


The president of the Greater Accra Kickboxing Association, Lt Col. E Sharpe, who graced the occasion also emphasized on the importance of the Sport for the youth in Ghana
He indicated that his Association is currently in talks with the Sports Directorate of University of Ghana and other basic schools to add the discipline of kick boxing to its students.


The newly elected executives areMr, Hasan Nadim,president,Mr Yoofi Boham-Vice President,Mr Solomon Benjamin asare-secretary, Mr. David Tetteh Tackie-Deputy Secretary, Mr Reginald Doodo-organiser, Mr Samuel Mensah-PRO.


The rest are Mr. Richard kwame dziwornu-Deputy PRO/liaison, Mr. Solomon Kwame Ganyo-marketing/sponsorship, Mr. Alexander Adjetey-technical director and Mr. Hassan Dilaimi-Grand Master-President,Instructor &Examiner,Martial Art Federation Internationals.


Mr Dilaimi expressed his appreciation to the Association and promised that he and the other executives will do their best to uplift and develop kickboxing in the country.
