With all participants exhibiting a great sense of humor and a high desire to progress to the next stage, the players treated a very vociferous crowd to great display of style and talent in the game.
The men’s category saw a fierce battle between the regions and the other participating institutions. Ghana immigration service. Ghana Police service Eastern Region and Central region.
Placing for the next stage saw Ghana Immigration Service getting the first slot after brushing off the challenges of their Central and Eastern regional counterparts.
In the first classification Eastern came back strongly to defeat Central Region and Immigration to get the second position. The Ghana Police Service defeated Eastern region and Central to book their ticket to the third position. Central region took the fourth place of the final placing of the men’s table tennis.
The women category was also challenging as Ghana Association of Polytechnic Students (GHAPSA) demonstrated a high sense of professionalism to win the first position after defeating custom exercise and preventive service (CEPS) and Armed forces respectively,
Armed Forces showed their muscles when they bounce back to cling a win against CEPS. CEPS not withstanding their early defeat accumulated a point to hold the third position. Ghana Police Service came fourth after defeating Armed Forces.
