The event is expected to draw the crème de la crème of the sporting fraternity, Diplomats, Politicians, members of the clergy and the general public to a very colourful event that will feature cultural performances and taekwondo displays.
The 10-day event is expected to assembly over 5,000 sportsmen and sportswomen from the 10 regions of Ghana and the security services to compete in 20 disciplines.
A statement from the National Sports Authority noted that buses will be placed at vantage points such as Circle (Obra Spot), Nima Overhead, Newtown (Social welfare), James Town, Azumah Nelson Sports Complex, Legon Station and Madina (Zongo Junction) to convey sports fans and the general public to the event.
Entries to the Opening Ceremony and the entire games are free to both the media and the general public. Media personnel are entreated to come along with their accredited media ID Cards from their media houses.
