The National Under 15 Cricket team will leave Ghana for Nigeria on Friday,  December 10, 2010 to participate in the upcoming International Cricket Council, ICC- North West Africa Junior Regional tournament in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The competition officially begins on Saturday, December 11-15, 2010 and will feature seven teams drawn from the North West Africa Regions which includes Gambia, Sierra Leone, Morocco, Cameroon, Mali, Ghana and host nation, Nigeria.

The tournament offers the Ghana Cricket Association the opportunity to partly fulfill ICC requirements in attaining an associate membership status by 2012.

The country would be represented by a 14 member contingent made up of 12 players and 2 officials.

It would be recalled that the team were champions in a similar competition for the West Africa Sub Region held in Nigeria in 2005.

The team is expected to return on Friday, December 16, 2010.
