The National Delegate Congress is scheduled for Thursday, 27th May, 2010 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Media Center of the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Osu – Accra.
Positions to be contested for during the elections are as follows:
PRESIDENT-(QUALITIES: A resourceful person with rich experience, special
vision and interest in Amateur Boxing growth and development)
1ST VICE PRESIDENT (Finance and Administration)-(QUALITIES: A resourceful professional entrepreneur or Business Executive person with rich experience in funds mobilization and administration)
2ND VICE PRESIDENT (Programmes)-(QUALITIES: A professional Physical Educator or its equivalent with vast experience in modern Amateur Boxing)
TREASURER-(QUALITIES: A professional accounts person with good marketing
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR-(QUALITIES: A computer literate AIBA certified Referee/Judge or 3 star AIBA Coach or its equivalent with rich experience in modern Amateur Boxing and capable of formulating good technical policies and programmes for implementation with the support of the Chief Coach)
The Secretary General and Chief Coach of the Association shall be appointed by the National Sports Council and shall be full time officials of the National Sports Council.
Meanwhile, each Regional Amateur Boxing Association and GABA Affiliate bodies are to present two delegates with one voting right and are to certify the names of their delegates and eligible contestants in writing to the Secretary General prior to the Congress meeting (before Thursday, 27/5/2010) through these contacts:
