SWAG beats NSC 2-1

A spirited performance by members of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) saw them beat their colleagues from the National Sports Council (NSC) 2-1 in a pulsating nerve-raking friendly football match at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra last Saturday.

The match which began after a two-hour walk through some principal streets amid singing and dancing by both members of the NSC and SWAG, saw NSC  taking the lead on the 10th  minutes through  Kenas.

SWAG, led by hardworking Captain John Vigah and supported by Al Amisty Nobs and Sammy  Okine, took the game to NSC after recess by launching incessant  attacks on the opponents goal area.

With SWAG still in the driving seat, they found the equalizer, the first through Muniru Osman on the 25th minute. The match winner came through Muniru  Osman again who nodded home a perfect cross from Michael Boateng.
