Royal Club Medal Golf Tomorrow

The Royal Golf Club, Kumasi, will host its April Monthly Golf Competition at the Kumasi Golf Course tomorrow.

Club Captain K.O Agyeman said this was the second of a sponsorship deal reached between Oak Plaza Hotel and the club for this year.

The one-day medal play will involve men and ladies playing over holes in the amateur ranking, with the professionals similarly playing 18 holes but in the scratch class.

The Club Captain said that about 65 participants would battle for prizes, saying winners in this years’ medal competitors would qualify for the special masters’ duel at the end of the season.

Edmund Agyekum and C. Nyantakyi are defending the March medal trophies they won.

Interestingly the two performed creditably at the 78th Ghana Amateur Open Championships held at Damang in the Western Region.

Mr Osei Bio, Kojo Kojo Kyei, E. Kusi Appiah, Adia Nkansah, Benin Tagboto, S. Badu Danso, Daniel Ntim, all men, F. Okyei Gyeabour, Richards, M. I. Oppong (captain), Mary Kronborg and Regheda Khalil are all expected to participate in tomorrow’s tournament.

The Royal Golf Club will host the annual Asantehene’s Golf Cup Invitation Open on May 29-30.

Saturday’s Medal event will thus be an obvious prelude to the club’s annual flagship event.
