Minority Commends Princesses, Black Sticks

THE minority in Parliament has commended Ghana's female football Under-20 side, the Black Princesses and the national male Under-17 hockey team, the Junior Black Sticks for their respective international achievements in their fields over in their fields over the weekend. 

The Princesses qualified for their maiden .Women's World Cup (WWC) to be staged in Germany in July with a 5-0 aggregate over the Democratic Republic of Congo, while the Junior Black Sticks won the tournament in South Africa to pick the sole ticket to the maiden Youth : Hockey Olympics to be held in Singapore in August. 


A message signed by Hon O.B Arnoah, MP for Aburi-Nsawam, congratulated the two teams for their determination and strong will power which saw them rise above the odds to earn a place in their .respective international competitions.


While commending them for their achievement, the message also urged the two teams to remain disciplined and focused so that they can excel when they take the stage for the FIFA Under-20 WWC and the Youth, Olympics. 


The message also expressed the hope that the two teams will be given adequate preparation and motivation to enable them' give of their best during the said competitions.
