Prior to today’s package, the netball team and its management handlers have been left thinking for well over a decade for assistance in their quest to promote and develop the sport. Following his interest in the game, the CEO of Hot Trails Limited, Alphonse Beckley who is the life patron of the netball association decided to support the team with kits and some training items.
Fourteen pieces of jerseys, polo shirts and track suits in frosty jack brands worth GHC 5,600 were presented to the team. Speaking at a simple ceremony, the President of the Ghana Netball Association, Rev Neequaye was full of smiles that the company came to the aid of the team. He recounted the difficulties in which they have been through in securing sponsorship. He was however quick to ask for more of such gestures and expressed his gratitude to the donors.
The Chief Administrator of the National Sports Authority, Madam. Alice Attipoe who received the items on behalf of the team, lauded the efforts of the company and urged them to maintain the relationship with the Association. She tasked the netball team to exhibit a high sense of discipline before, during and after the competition so as achieve success.
Nana Michael Dzikumu, the sales and promotion executive at Hot Trails Sourcing Limited who represented his boss mentioned that netball stands the chance of winning laurels for the nation if supported.
He appealed to the team to practice good maintenance on the items. Mr Dzikumu who was accompanied by the musical group, “Ruff and Smooth” to the ceremony indicated that his out firm is already to support the lesser known sport in the country and called on other firms to emulate their example. He therefore called on the leadership of the netball association to collaborate with Hot Trail for more projects.
Ruff and Smooth promise the team a musical concept should they win the competition.
