Results of the National Opens Chess Tournament

The National Open Chess Tournament, which took place at the Media Centre of Accra Sports Stadium, Accra, on Saturday 2nd April, 2011 from 09:30 am to 5:00 pm has successful ended.

The event attracted a total number of Twenty Five (25) participants. A total of 5 games were played in all and below are the results:

 Kiadrr Charles came up 1st with a total win of 4.5 points out of 5 games played and a FIDE rating of 2050

Thompson Edward came up 2nd with a total win of 4 out of 5 games played and a Fide rating of 2050

Hasford Kojo came up 3rd position with a total win of 3.5 points out of the 5 games played and a FIDE rating of 2100                               

 
The event was aimed at preparing the players towards the forthcoming National Sports Festival, Zone 4.2 Championship, ECOWAS Games and most especially the All African Games.

The Ghana chess Association appreciate the good works of the Chief Executive of the National Sports Council and our Media Partners in making this National Open Tournament a success.
