Promasidor Ghana Limited (Cowbell) sponsors National Cycling Team

The image deficit which nearly befell the National Cycling team “the Golden Bikers” from being expelled from the world governing body the UCI had a miraculous turn-around when Promasidor Ghana Limited, producers of Cowbell Milk came to the rescue with a sponsorship package of Eight Thousand, Three Hundred and Sixty Six Ghana Cedis, Fifty Pesewa (GH 8,366.50) making up for the return ticket for four (4) cyclists and one official to be participants of this year’s 10th edition of the Africa Continental Cycling Championships in Rwanda-Kigali from 9th – 14th November, 2010.

At a Press Conference held at the premises of Promasidor Ghana Limited, the sales and marketing manager Mr. Festus Tettey was of full assurance for the team and pledged their full support for the national team. He reiterated the commitment of Promasidor to further help revive the sport, adding this was just the beginning of good things to come.

The Chief Executive of Promasidor, Olivier Thiry added his support to the course of Ghana Cycling.

Speaking on behalf of the National Sports Council, the C. S. D. O, Mr. Erasmus Adorkor was full of praise for Promasidor. Mr. Adorkor expressed his deep appreciation for Promasidor especially at this dying moment of help.

Team Captain Aminu Mohammed closed the chapter of appreciation for Promasidor by acknowledging what the company had done especially at a time everyone thought Ghana would be dismembered    from the International Cycling Union (UCI).

Ghana is expected to feature alongside fourteen (14) other African countries in this year’s edition-a novelty appearance for the country in the history of Ghana of which South Africa is the defending champions.

Samuel Amin, Nuru Pardie, Aminu Mohammed and Henry Tettey Djangmah make up the cycling team with Shaaban Mohammed as the lone ranger official.
