11th Japanese Ambassador Judo Championship

This year’s Japanese Ambassador Judo Championship, dubbed the 11th Japanese Ambassador Judo Championship is scheduled to take place on 20th March, 2010 from 7.30am to 6.00pm at the Hathiramani Sports Hall, Ohene Djan Sports
Stadium, Accra.

As part of preparations for a successful tournament, a Referee Seminar will be held for fifteen (15) officiating referees on Saturday 13th March, 2010 at 8.00am and Weighing for all participating Judokas and the elimination stage of the competition on the 19th March, 2010 at 8.00am at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium.

 


The event, which is sponsored annually by the Japan Embassy as part of the Japanese Culture Week Celebrations is aimed at honouring the Japanese Ambassador and to strengthen Ghana Japan Culture ties.


 
The event will see over two hundred (200) Athletes (Judokas) from the length and breath of the country and is going to be the platform to select best Judokas into the National team which will participate in the  African Judo Championship in Dakar,Senegal from the 26th July, to 3rd August, 2010.


 
The programme is being organized under the distinguished patronage of H.E. Keiichi KATAKAMI, the Japanese Ambassador with the Chief Executive of the National Sports Council in attendance.
