HISTORY OF BADMINTON IN GHANA

 

The Badminton Association of Ghana exists to develop, promote teams to organize, control the game of Badminton in Ghana; prepare and present terms to participate in national games, and International tournaments at all levels; encourage the formation of Regional Associations, clubs and attract people of all age levels to practice the sports, work in close collaboration with all related sports agencies, local and international, train both technical and Administrative personnel; adapt and observe international Badminton laws and regulations for the enhancement of the growth of the game of Badminton in Ghana and beyond.

 

VISION:

To develop, promote and popularize the sport of Badminton throughout Ghana and abide by the universal laws of the Game.

Badminton Coaching Course on July 3rd

The Badminton Association of Ghana (BAG) in collaboration with the National Sports Authority (NSA) will organize a technical training course to train Badminton coaches from July 3 2012 at the rlg/Harthramani sports hall, Accra sports stadium.

Badminton Confederation Elect New Members

The Badminton Confederation of Africa (BCA) has elected a President and three new Council  members to the federation at its Annual General Meeting held on Friday, May 6th 2011 in Marrakech, Morrocco.

Badminton Course on April 13th

A  Four -day badminton   umpires and line judges course is being organized by the Badminton Association of Ghana in collaboration with the National Sports Council at the Press Centre of the Accra Sports Stadium from 9:00am-5:00pm daily.


Badminton Umpires And Line Judges Course, Press Centre, Accra Sports Stadium, 13TH – 16TH APRIL, 2011

The Badminton Association of Ghana in conjunction with the National Sports Council will organize a Technical Course for Umpires and Line Judges at the Accra Sports Stadium from 13th to 16th April, 2011 from 09:00 am to 5:00pm, daily.

National Independence Day Badminton Championships Ends

  • The three (3) days Badminton Championships dubbed “National Independence Day Badminton Championships” ended successful at the D.G. Hathiramani Sports Hall, Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, 7th March, 2011.
